Robin????? Race
Track Dog, like me, loves birds. I'm partial to parakeets and partridges,
while Race Track Dog loves gaggles of geese, chickens (cooked) and robins. When
he lived in Texas he had gazillions of robins and other feathered fellows hanging
out in the winter months when it was too cold for them in Minnesota. Now
that it's time for the robins to return to the northern tundra he's anxious to
see one. So anxious in fact that he talked me into giving a pair of tickets for
the Thunder N Lightning Series Opener on May 1st to the first person who sends
an e-mail with a photo of a robin in your yard to me. It doesn't have to be Rockin'
Robin
any robin will do. Just send it to mick@goracewaypark.com
and we'll announce the winner here. RTD wants to thank you in advance. The

. Some
RWP drivers must be reading News and Views because in the last week a good number
of them have sent their electronic Drivers Information forms in which means that
they will be listed in the 2011 Souvenir Racing program. Thanks Drivers. Speaking
of souvenir programs, this year's version will be a 32-page plus cover full color
publication. We're fortunate to have Martin DeFries, Kevin Busse and Dan
"The Midwest Motorsports Man" Plan making writing, photo, or lay-out
contributions again this year. If you've got some ideas about what should be in
there this year let me know. If you want to buy an ad in same, I can hook you
up. One of the
other big pre-season activities is making sure we got plenty of rubber for the
racers. Mike Hellendrung just got some good news on the Figure 8 front.
Those recaps will be available at RWP by Monday, April 25th. The other division
tires will be available on April 9th. Oh
yes and since it is more blessed to give than to receive, Hobby Stock racers that
have Hoosier 790's that they don't want to use in 2011 are invited to bring those
tires to RWP for some "recycling" down the road. We don't want junk
tires or tires full of holes or water and we want to know when you'll be bringing
them by. Just give Rob Ostdiek a call at (952) 445--2257 to make delivery
arrangements. As
I file this with our Web Wizards Sandy and Bruce there's only 28 days,
15 hours, 14 minutes and 5 seconds until Test and Tune Day at RWP. Back
